6-year-old Tommy made a startling discovery one morning when he woke up to a strange noise outside his window. When he peaked outdoors to see what was going on, he found himself face-to-face with two very large red eyes. Little Tommy was sure he had seen a monster, and ran to his parents bedroom. When they checked the scene, they concluded that the monster was actually an albino moose.
Undecided what to do with the strange animal, Tommy's parents contacted the Department of Natural Resources. The team of men and woman came immediately to investigate the rare occurrence, and together decided that a nearby Zoo would make a great home for the strange looking beast.
The team of Natural Resources workers gently put the moose to sleep and transported it to the nearby Zoo without harm.
"I go see him almost every week!" says Tommy to reporters as they interviewed him on Saturday afternoon. "I think he's happy in his new home."
Workers at the Zoo are delighted to report that the moose is well taken care of and gets along great with his fellow animals. "He's a great new addition to the zoo and we were glad to have him!"
